MissionH24 stays on course
The construction of the H24EVO continues, with the French team still aiming to run its electric hydrogen prototype for the first time at the end of 2026.
Symbio, MissionH24's long-standing partner and fuel cell supplier, has decided to refocus its activities on the industrial sector for reasons unrelated to sport. MissionH24 acknowledges this significant change and is actively pursuing the development of the H24EVO. The team is stepping up its efforts to achieve its goals. MissionH24, a collaborative program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24Project, is participating in the deployment of hydrogen in competition in order to decarbonize competition and mobility.
Pierre Fillon, President of ACO and Co-President of MissionH24
"The collaboration with Symbio has been invaluable in recent years in launching this pioneering program in motorsports. Today, we are continuing this challenge, this mission, with new partners, and announcements will be made very soon to reflect these advances. "
Jean-Michel Bouresche, CEO of H24Project and Co-President of MissionH24
“I would like to thank Symbio for the quality of our collaboration during the seven wonderful years we shared with MissionH24. Our goal remains unchanged, and the arrival of a new partner will provide fresh impetus for MissionH24.”
Bassel Aslan, Technical Director of MissionH24
“In any sports and technology program, you have to be able to adapt. This is an essential concept, and we are adjusting our working methodologies accordingly. My team and I are working with even greater determination to keep to our initial schedule for the construction of the H24EVO.”
Hydrogen, a Focus at PMW
Since yesterday, PMW (Professional Motorsport World), the professional motorsport trade fair, has been taking place in Cologne, providing an opportunity to prepare for the future of competition and its applications in mobility. Hydrogen is one of the themes being presented.
In Hall 10.1 of the Cologne Exhibition Center, more than 200 booths are hosting major and minor players in motorsport from 45 countries, some with many years of experience in competition, others more recent, as specialists in a newly deployed technology. Hydrogen exemplifies this collaboration between established motorsport entities and others working to deploy their expertise on circuits around the world. MissionH24, a program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24Project for the creation of a Hydrogen category in Endurance racing, was thus able to present this pioneering challenge for the decarbonization of motorsport and mobility.
Moderating a roundtable discussion, MissionH24, represented by its Technical Director Bassel Aslan, accompanied by several partners, Pierre Tipner, Engineering Sales Manager at FORVIA; Michael Mürlebach, Project Director for Bosch Motorsport; Douglas Campling, General Manager of Motorsport at Fortescue Zero; Sam Guest, Head of Telemetry, Control and Analysis, Motorsport at Motion Applied; and Jean-Baptiste Pouradier, CEO of Texys Group, shared updates on the upcoming H24EVO, the latest hydrogen-electric prototype currently under development, and the potential of hydrogen.
Numerous questions from the audience demonstrated the strong interest in this energy carrier: safety, storage in its liquid form, competitiveness, timeline, and more.
MissionH24 at the crossroads of innovation in Cologne
On November 12 and 13, Cologne will host PMW (Professional Motorsport World), a trade show for the motorsports industry. Engineers, innovators, and decision-makers will come together to discuss and prepare for the future of motorsports and technology transfers between sports, mobility, and specific production areas.
MissionH24, the collaborative program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24Project for the deployment of hydrogen in competition, will participate in this event. During a round table discussion organized on November 12, at 3 p.m. on the PMW Magazine stage. More information here.
