A Hyvolution, MissionH24 booste l’hydrogène

A Paris, Porte de Versailles, au Parc des Expositions, Hall 1, se tient jusqu’à jeudi, Hyvolution, événement international dédié à l’hydrogène. MissionH24, le programme en collaboration entre l’Automobile Club de l’Ouest et H24Project pour une compétition zéro émission de CO2, participe activement à la promotion de ce vecteur d’énergie. Vision stratégique, conférences, expositions, nouveaux partenaires, formations sécurité….les engagements sont multiples. 


 

STRATEGIE HYDROGENE 

Parmi les premières interventions sur le salon, l’échange entre Pierre Fillon, Président de l’Automobile Club de l’Ouest, co-président de MissionH24, et Didier Leroy, chairman de Toyota Motor Europe, a permis de partager des visions stratégiques Hydrogène engagées, tout en faisant le constat de la situation française ou européenne actuelle, plutôt "morose" quant au déploiement de l’hydrogène. « Comme en course d’Endurance, le succès repose sur la collaboration. Toyota s’engage pleinement à bâtir cet avenir, en investissant, en innovant et en nouant des partenariats, a rappelé Didier Leroy. Le chemin à parcourir est semé d’embûches mais incroyablement stimulant. Le prochain chapitre de la mobilité s’écrit aujourd’hui et nous sommes fiers d’y contribuer avec vous tous. » Le message était clair : « ne jamais rien lâcher » malgré les obstacles, les freins, les progrès d’autres pays, martelait Pierre Fillon.

L’ENDURANCE, LABORATOIRE DE RECHERCHE POUR L'HYDROGENE

Pour illustrer l’impact du sport automobile dans la mobilité, et notamment sur la transition énergétique, une table ronde consacrée aux recherches menées par les ingénieurs, les constructeurs, impliqués en compétition a permis à Bernard Niclot (ACO), Nicolas Aubourg (FIA), Pascal Vasselon, (TOYOTA Racing), Bassel Aslan (MissionH24), Pierre-Jean Tardy (Alpine Racing) et Julien Jehanne (Ligier Automotive) de présenter leurs travaux sur l’hydrogène. Comment le sport peut-il agir ? Quelles évolutions va-t-il initier ? Les méthodes de travail particulières à l’exigence de la compétition auto ont été présentées. Pour rappel, dans le hall 1 de ce salon dédié à l’écosystème H2, trois prototypes Endurance sont exposés : La Ligier JS2 RH2, l’Alpenglow Hy6 d’Alpine et la H24EVO de MissionH24.    

 

MISSIONH24, FORMATIONS ET PARTENAIRES

Sur le stand de MissionH24 (D28), la H24EVO est l’élément central, mais d’autres dispositifs attirent le public, comme le pneumatique "pédagogique" Michelin qui explique les éléments qui le constituent, avec notamment 71% de matériaux durables. FORVIA présente également une maquette pour souligner les critères d’un réservoir d’hydrogène liquide, tandis que l’Ensosp (école nationale supérieure des officiers de sapeur pompiers) démontre les bienfaits de la collaboration sécurité civile – équipe de compétition quant à la création de modules de formation sécurité H2.

Preuve de l’attractivité de ce programme de compétition H2, la livrée de la H24 se pare de deux noms nouveaux de compagnies partenaires : AVL RACETECH et PURFLUX GROUP. D'autres annonces auront lieu dans les semaines à venir.

PURFLUX GROUP joins MissionH24

MissionH24, a zero-CO2 emissions racing program and collaboration between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24 Project, brings together a team of technical and financial partners determined to take on this pioneering challenge. PURFLUX GROUP is joining this mission.

At Hyvolution, in Paris, Porte de Versailles, on January 27, 2026, MissionH24 and PURFLUX GROUP formalized their collaboration during a press conference held at the stand hosting the H24EVO, the latest prototype from the zero-CO2-emission racing program.

MissionH24, a collaborative program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24 Project, promotes the development of hydrogen in automotive racing, with the goal of creating a category dedicated to hydrogen prototypes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship by 2028.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans has always played a role in accelerating research into mobility. At a time when energy transition and the deployment of new sustainable solutions are essential, endurance racing is stepping up to the task.

AVL, a key partner for MissionH24

AVL RACETECH, an expert in the automotive sector, has joined MissionH24, the collaborative program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and H24 Project. The decarbonization of motorsport and mobility through hydrogen is the common thread uniting these two entities.


At Hyvolution Paris on January 27, 2026, MissionH24 and AVL RACETECH announced their new collaboration. The H24EVO, a hydrogen racing prototype, will benefit from this teamwork.

MissionH24, a collaborative program between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24 Project, has pioneering ambitions: to demonstrate the potential of hydrogen in motorsport, with the aim of creating a zero-CO2 emission category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Endurance racing has always been a technological laboratory for mobility. Today, deploying sustainable energy is a crucial objective.

With the support of AVL RACETECH, the H24EVO prototype will be further developed in a targeted manner. The hydrogen-electric race car is designed to meet the high-performance demands and extreme operating conditions of modern endurance racing.

AVL RACETECH supports the project as a technical partner, bringing its extensive experience in virtual vehicle development to MissionH24. A key element of this contribution is the advanced vehicle simulation software AVL VSM™ RACE. The fully dynamic simulation platform enables the virtual representation and analysis of complex interactions between the complete vehicle, the powertrain, and the energy management system. The solution therefore supports the seamless integration of user-defined algorithms into VCU software-in-the-loop (SiL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) workflows specifically designed to optimize the powertrain performance and energy management strategies of the H24EVO race car.

Looking ahead, the technical collaboration is planned to be extended from the virtual environment into full vehicle testing. The alliance between AVL RACETECH, H24Project, and ACO as part of the MissionH24 program is a long-term commitment with a partnership agreement for the next three years.

MissionH24, the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Hyvolution

In Paris, from January 27 to 29, at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, MissionH24, the program in collaboration between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24Project, will showcase the potential of hydrogen and its crucial role in decarbonization. The H24EVO, MissionH24's latest racing prototype, will be on display. Mark your calendars for January 27 for various conferences dedicated to motorsport and the energy transition, and the role of automakers in decarbonization. These are vital opportunities to share experiences.

Since its creation in 2016, Hyvolution has established itself as the leading international event for stakeholders in the hydrogen sector. A pioneer in Europe, the event now brings together companies, experts, and institutions from over 60 countries, confirming its position as a global platform connecting hydrogen ecosystems.

Hyvolution will take place from January 27 to 29 in Paris, at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, Hall 1. MissionH24 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans will actively participate, with various highlights demonstrating the commitment of endurance racing to the challenge of zero-CO2 emission mobility.

MissionH24 will exhibit its future prototype, the H24EVO, with its futuristic design, at booth D28. The Ensosp, the Ecole Nationale des Officiers de Sapeurs-Pompiers, will present, along with hydrogen racing experts, the jointly developed safety training programs.

    and Didier Leroy, Chairman of TOYOTA Motor Europe will share their hydrogen strategies.
  • On January 27, at 12:00 p.m., on the main stage, an exceptional roundtable discussion will explain the contribution 
    of motorsport to the research and deployment of hydrogen solutions. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (Bernard Niclot), MissionH24 (Bassel Aslan), Ligier Automotive (Julien Jehanne), Toyota Racing (Pascal Vasselon), Alpine Racing 
    (Pierre-Jean Tardy), and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (Nicolas Aubourg) ​​will share their research 
    and priorities for creating a dedicated hydrogen category in endurance racing.
  • On January 27, at 2:30 p.m., at the MissionH24 stand, D28, a press conference will be held to share the 2026 agenda 
    for the hydrogen endurance program, a collaboration between the ACO and H24Project.
  • On January 28, at 12:00 p.m., on the main stage, the ACO and Ariane Group will explain the work being done on 
    hydrogen in motorsport and for the space sector.

 

 


MissionH24 and Ensosp join forces at Hyvolution

From January 27 to 29, in Paris, at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, MissionH24, the hydrogen-powered car racing program, and the École Nationale Supérieure des Officiers de Sapeurs-Pompiers (Ensosp) will present their jointly developed safety training modules at the leading hydrogen event, “Hyvolution.”

In Aix-en-Provence, at its training facility, Ensosp puts emergency response teams in a real-life situation involving a hydrogen fire.

 

For its 10th anniversary edition, Hyvolution, the event dedicated to decarbonization via hydrogen, will take an in-depth look at the agenda and initiatives in France, Europe, and internationally, focusing on six themes: production, mobility, industry, infrastructure, carbon, and optimization.

On the D28 stand in Hall 1, MissionH24, supported by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and H24Project, will exhibit the H24EVO, its latest hydrogen racing prototype, as well as the results of its partnership with Ensosp, announced last October at the National Firefighters' Congress in Le Mans.

Drawing on their experience in fields where safety is essential and a priority, MissionH24 and Ensosp have combined their expertise to create hydrogen safety training modules for companies in the sector. Three approaches are offered: Awareness, Expertise, and Operational. Civil safety experts, European leaders in hydrogen safety training, and pioneers in motor racing will share this joint program from January 27 to 29 to support the safe deployment of hydrogen.
